How To Install A New Recoil Starter On A CMD65 Backpack Fogger Leaf Blower
Posted by Ivana Hermida on
The Cardinal 3HP Backpack Mosquito Fogger is powered by our Cardinal 3HP 2 Stroke Engine. To start up the engine, you will need to pull the recoil starter. The recoil starter sits at the front of your Backpack Fogger, centered between the engine and the fuel tank.
If the recoil cord breaks, gets stuck, or becomes difficult to pull, you will need to replace the recoil starter.
Follow these steps to get your new recoil starter installed and your engine running in no time:
What You Will Need
- Backpack Fogger (CMD65)

- 4.5mm Allen Wrench
Instructions
Step 1:
Use a 4.5mm Allen wrench to remove the four bolts from the recoil starter.
Step 2:
Remove old recoil starter from the engine.
Step 3:
Put your new recoil starter in to place on the engine.
Step 4:
Use a 4.5mm Allen wrench to fasten bolts and secure the new recoil starter onto the engine.
Your Backpack Fogger is now ready to use!
